The TBFacts website

Nearly 2,000 people access the website each week. The person in charge of the site is Annabel Kanabus. Annabel has previous experience in the development of websites having started and developed the website which became the most popular HIV/AIDS website in the world during the time that she worked at the charity AVERT. Annabel has also written a history of the AIDS charity AVERT which includes the development of the site.

The website was designed and coded, free of charge, by Jeremy Bojczuk of Lab 99 Web Design, based on ideas by Annabel Kanabus. GHE is very grateful to Jeremy for his help.

Why is the charity called GHE?

The initials GHE stand for Global Health Education. GHE was set up as a charity to improve health through education, particularly in relation to diseases which have a global impact. Currently GHE is concentrating on Tuberculosis, and although its main focus is still health education through the website, through its projects it may undertake other work such as the improvement of care, or a small amount of medical research.
